A: Not compatible. Rapido X uses an all-new mounting design. The official team has already uploaded the complete 3D dimensional models and mounting drawings to the GitHub repo:https://github.com/Phaetus/Rapido-X

Q2: What adapters does the manufacturer provide for which printers? How do other machines fit it?

A: Currently the official adapter files cover the full Voron 2.4/Trident/V0 lineup, downloadable from the GitHub repo above. For other machines (e.g. Ender series, Prusa series), you'll need to design your own DIY adapter based on the official dimensional model. The manufacturer will progressively roll out more official fitments based on user demand.

Q3: What mounting methods does Rapido X support?

A: It supports standard 16mm bolt-hole mounting, and is also compatible with the GrooveMount quick-release interface, allowing direct drop-in replacement on most mainstream...

Q4: Will installing Rapido X alone get me 100+ mm³/s flow and 1000+ mm/s print speeds?

A: Rapido X is a core component for achieving ultra-high-speed printing, but hitting peak performance requires the whole machine system to work together:
Pairing with a Phaetus Apus 2 extruder is recommended (max torque 80N-cm)
Requires a high-torque stepper motor (≥2A) and a 32-bit mainboard
Firmware must have Linear Advance (pressure advance) and Input Shaping enabled
The machine's frame and linear rails need sufficient rigidity to handle high-speed motion

Q5: What's the maximum operating temperature of Rapido X? What filaments does it support?

A: The standard version has a max operating temp of 360°C, supporting the full range of materials including PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, PA (nylon), PC, PA-CF/GF, PEI, and PEEK.

Q6: What's the heating power and heat-up speed of Rapido X?

A: It uses a 24V 120W all-in-one ceramic heater core. Heating from room temperature to 200°C takes about 25 seconds, and to 300°C about 45 seconds.

Q7: What nozzles does Rapido X come stock with? Is it compatible with other brands' nozzles?

A: It ships stock with 2 Endcoat-coated nozzles, in 0.4mm and 0.5mm sizes. The Endcoat coating offers high-temp resistance (360°C), wear resistance, and anti-stick properties. Rapido X is compatible with standard V6-interface nozzles, supporting brass, hardened steel, ruby-tipped, and other nozzle materials.

Q8: What are Rapido X's wear parts/consumables? Where can I buy them?

A: The main wear parts are the nozzle, heater cartridge, and thermistor. All wear parts are standard components, available from Phaetus's official flagship store or authorized resellers.

Q9: What test models does the manufacturer provide? Where can I download them?

A: The official team provides a full set of calibration test models, including flow rate test models, temp towers, retraction tests, pressure advance calibration models, and vibration compensation (input shaping) tests — all files are already uploaded to the GitHub repo above.

Q10: Is there a detailed installation and user manual?

A: Yes — the manufacturer provides electronic installation manuals, firmware configuration guides, and common troubleshooting handbooks in both Chinese and English, downloadable from the GitHub repo or the Phaetus official website.

Q11: How do I swap the nozzle on Rapido X?

A: Rapido X supports a one-handed nozzle-swap design:

  1. Heat the hotend to 200°C.
  2. Use a wrench to directly unscrew the old nozzle.
  3. Screw on the new nozzle and tighten — no need to hold the heater block in place.
